Welcome to Deve's Antique Chevy Trucks! My focus is on Chevrolet's Advance Design Series Trucks. The years covered are late 1947 through early 1955. You can read about the history of these trucks on my History page. This site is my attempt at documenting my passion, which is restoring these trucks. In this pastime, it's the journey, not the destination, so I am in no hurry to complete my projects; rather, I am concerned with quality and attention to detail. Part of this quest is to meet others with the same interest, to line up good vendors for getting the necessary parts, and to carefully document each procedure so that I remember them and so that others may benefit. Within these pages you will find many items of interest, including the How-Tos on the more difficult aspects of restorations, a listing of Parts Resources, tool vendors, and many links related to the restoration process.

If you want to see a step-by-step progression of my 1950 frame-up restoration, check out the Restoration pages. There, you will find information on all 4 of my trucks. 2 of them are 1950 1/2-ton (3100), one is a 1949 3/4-ton (3600), and the other is a 1948 1 1/2-ton (4400). The first 1950 will be restored to its 100% original condition with no major modifications; this is the most heavily documented truck. I am not an authority on these trucks; I learn as I go. This means that all criticisms and comments are encouraged. I hope you get a lot out of these pages, and I appreciate any input you can give on how to improve this resource.
